Sample questions
- Which quadrilateral always has four equal sides and four right angles?
- Adjacent sides of a parallelogram are ___ cm and ___ cm. Calculate its perimeter.
- One angle of a parallelogram is ___°. Find an adjacent angle.
- One diagonal of a rectangle is ___ cm long. What is the length of the other diagonal?
- A rhombus has side length ___ cm. Calculate its perimeter.
Quadrilaterals and their properties
The interior angles of every quadrilateral total 360°. A parallelogram has equal opposite sides and angles, a rhombus has four equal sides, a rectangle has four right angles, and a square has both sets of properties.
Trapezoids and diagonals
A trapezoid has one pair of parallel opposite sides. Classify a figure from marked properties, not appearance alone. Not every rhombus is a square, but every square is both a rhombus and a rectangle.
